A website ready for inspection

We check your website or online shop against Slovak and EU regulations: mandatory details, cookies, personal data protection, accessibility and the mandatory elements of an online shop. You get a report that cites the legal provision for every item. We fix the gaps at a price you know in advance.

> Why now

The rules already apply, not only from 2027.

Regulations as of 29 October 2026 according to Slov-lex. Amounts are the statutory maximums, not typical fines.

Accessibility already applies

Since 28 June 2025, online shops and online services for consumers must be accessible to people with disabilities too. The Slovak Trade Inspection (SOI) enforces this; the fine ranges from €200 to 3% of turnover, at most €6,000 (up to €30,000 for failing to cooperate during an inspection). If the company remedies the shortcoming, the fine is waived. Microenterprises (fewer than 10 people and turnover up to €2 million) are exempt for services.

Cookies only after consent

Analytics, advertising, maps and videos must not start before the visitor consents. Fines of up to 5% of turnover are imposed by the Slovak Regulatory Authority for Electronic Communications and Postal Services.

Online shops have new obligations

Since 19 June 2026, an online shop must have a “withdraw from the contract here” function. For missing mandatory information before an order and on withdrawal, the SOI can impose a fine of up to 2% of turnover, at most €200,000.

A chatbot must introduce itself

Since 2 August 2026, an AI chatbot on a website must tell people at first contact that they are talking to artificial intelligence.

> What we check

Six areas, each item with its legal basis.

We only check what actually applies to your website. A website without a shop won't be tested at a checkout.

Mandatory company details

  • Business name, registered office, company ID, register and entry number
  • E-mail, phone, tax ID or VAT ID
  • Supervisory authority (SOI inspectorate) with its address
  • Easy to find on every page

Cookies and consent

  • Tracking tested in 3 phases: before the choice, after rejecting, after accepting
  • Rejecting is as easy as accepting
  • Consent can be changed at any time
  • The cookie list in the policy matches reality

Personal data and GDPR

  • Information next to every form
  • Every tool the website calls is in the policy — and nothing extra
  • Retention period as a number, not “as appropriate”
  • Forms ask only for what is needed

Accessibility

  • WCAG 2.1 rules at levels A and AA
  • Keyboard and screen reader operation
  • Contrast, image descriptions, headings, forms
  • Accessibility statement in the terms of service

Online shop

  • Pre-order information and a summary before submitting
  • “Order with obligation to pay” button
  • Withdrawal notice, form and a “withdraw from the contract here” function
  • Discounts showing the lowest price of the last 30 days, review verification

AI on the website

  • The chatbot introduces itself as AI in its first message
  • The chatbot and its provider are listed in the privacy policy
  • Daily cap and bot protection

> FAQ

Straight talk, no scare tactics.

Is this a legal service?

No. It is a technical check and fix of the website under the regulations in force. Legal texts (terms and conditions, complaints policy, privacy policy) are written and approved by the website operator. We check that they are on the website, can be found and match what the website actually does.

Can you guarantee an official inspection will find nothing?

No honest provider can promise that. We promise to check every item in the report against the current wording of the regulation, and that after the fixes the website will be in order on those items. Keep the report — it shows you took care of compliance.

Does my website have to be accessible?

The Slovak accessibility act covers services for consumers, such as online shops and bookings. Microenterprises — fewer than 10 people and annual turnover or balance sheet up to €2 million — are exempt for services. Accessibility still pays off: the website is easier for everyone to read and works better on mobile.

Will an accessibility plugin (widget) help?

A plugin that adds an icon with settings won't fix errors in the website's code. We fix the code and content directly: image descriptions, contrast, keyboard operation, forms.

Someone else built our website. Is that a problem?

Not at all. We can check any website. Fixes depend on what we can access — the code, the admin or the platform settings. Anything the platform doesn't allow goes into the report.

And e-invoicing from 1 January 2027?

In the report we tell you whether your online shop or invoicing system issues invoices to businesses. The e-invoicing integration itself is a separate service.
